The Glasswrights Series – Now Available as E-Books!

Once upon a time, I decided to write a novel.  OK, it was my fourth or fifth novel, depending on how you count, but it was the first that found publication.  The Glasswrights’ Apprentice is a traditional fantasy novel about Rani Trader, a girl who is apprenticed to the stained glass makers’ guild.  She witnesses an assassination, and she’s accused of being the killer, so she has to masquerade through her society’s extremely rigid castes to find the true killer.

When I sold Apprentice, my then-publisher purchased a second book in the series (one that grew up to be The Glasswrights’ Progress.  When the first book succeeded beyond my wildest dreams (among other accolades, it won the Barnes & Noble “reader’s choice” award for Best First Speculative-Fiction Novel in 2000), I quickly signed a contract for three more books in the series – The Glasswrights’ Journeyman, The Glasswrights’ Test, and The Glasswrights’ Master.

I have always had a soft place in my heart for these books – the heroine is young, flawed, and oh-so-earnest.  Along the path of her story, she encounters the Thousand Gods, the endless constraints of social expectation, and true (and false) love.

The Glasswrights Series is now available as e-books (and as trade paperbacks – for the first time ever!)  You can read more about the series, including first chapters, on my website.  I hope that you come to love Rani Trader as much as I do!
