What Are *You* Making?
So, on another board I frequent, the author-host asked what folks were making, and the answers ranged across the arts (from writing to choir-ing to handicrafts, etc.) I was amused (and impressed!) by the answers.
Me, I’m writing the final three chapters of DARKBEAST REBELLION, well in advance of its due date (so that I can set it aside for a few weeks and come back to it with fresh eyes.)
And I’m knitting a medium-grey mid-calf ribbed skirt (new skill learned: ripping out long rows of stitches and still getting things back onto the needles; skills to be learned: blocking! and seaming!)
So, what are *you* making?
Mindy, wanting to add more things to her list of projects

Most of my creativity gets expressed through my dreams these days, unfortunately. But food is always a n outlet! I recently tinkered with a blogger’s recipe to make a gorgeous pecan-topped pumpkin coffee cake (which even my nine year old will eat) and, for a work gathering, caramel apple oatmeal bars. Not much time for beading lately, but I was secret santa for a co-worker, for whom I made a necklace and matching earrings with magenta-dyed agate ; they turned out surprisingly well despite the $10 spending cap. Oh, and since the gift exchange involved us telling others some things we had learned about our giftee, so that they could guess who it was, I wrote a poem studded with clues. You take your creative outlets where you find them!
Donna – sounds lovely! I really like the $10 cap on gifts – it forces people to become creative (and that’s *before* you needed to write the poem!) Of course, there aren’t any Secret Santas in my current office…
